Think about the popular e-commerce online retailers you use for a moment. Their ability to deliver millions of products worldwide in just a day or two doesn’t happen by chance; it’s built on a finely tuned system of warehouses, stock tracking, and fast decision-making.

Running an e-commerce business is no easy task. Between managing inventory, processing orders, tracking finances, and juggling customer service, it's easy for things to slip through the cracks (especially if you don't have a large finance or admin team backing you up).

For product-based businesses, there is nothing more important than a single source of truth. With siloed data, you run the risk of inventory, financial liabilities, or growth opportunities slipping through the cracks between different departments, all of which can hamper your scalability.

First Software Ltd, the developer of n2 ERP the leading Cloud ERP and eCommerce solution for Retailers and Distributors announces the release of new functionality for Cold Storage and 3PL logistics Companies.

How an hour of development eliminated pesky manual labour… Faced with an infrequent but niggling task which amounted to finding a needle in a haystack, technology distributor SnapperNet consulted its enterprise resource planning provider First Software to automate it away. The problem was searching through video footage to confirm how outwards goods were packed; with First Software’s help, what once took at least half an hour of manual fiddling with video recordings now takes just minutes.

Way back in 2000 when we first developed n2 ERP it was called FirstNet ERP, the First stood for First Software and Net was short for Internet when we launched the all new version in 2010 we were going to call it FirstNet 2 but then dropped the First and shortened net to “N” which is how we got to N2 ERP, that explains n2 but some of you may not understand the ERP reference.
