Based in Auckland, we saw firsthand how local retailers and distributors had to spend too much time dealing with multiple systems that didn’t talk to each other. So we created one that did: the n2 ERP.
n2 ERP is a truly integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution to streamline processes for multi-channel retail and distribution firms. By implementing this tool, retailers and distributors have significantly improved their operational efficiency and profitability.
Since releasing the cloud version of n2 ERP in 2010, a number of major retailers and distributors have become our customers, all of whom hold competitive advantage thanks to the platform’s integrated financial and supply chain software, website design and development.
In 2015, we developed an integration with the accounting software Xero so our customers could use our inbuilt module or Xero for their financials.

Alex Petraska
Managing Director
Alex leads the company and drives our long-term strategy. Joining First Software in 2002 after a successful stint in distribution, supply chain and retail, Alex works closely with Stewart to translate your business needs into ERP implementation.
He focuses on understanding your business and current operational processes, combining his extensive software experience with the knowledge of best practices in business processes, and applying all of these to solve the challenges your business faces.
Essentially acting in a business advisory role, Alex sits between you and our software team, ensuring that we truly understand your procedures and that you know specifically how they will work better with n2 ERP & Ecommerce. This means that you get the most effective product and integration: a custom solution tailored to your business’s needs.

Stewart Martel

Stewart has a strong grasp of what it takes to have a successful ERP implementation, thanks to years of experience in the IT industry under his belt, not only with First Software but also SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and J D Edwards.
Running our sales and marketing operations, Stewart works closely with Alex to generate and assist new clients. As your first point of contact, he is also Head of Keeping Our Promises, where he is consistently involved and communicates with you throughout the implementation, and then on an ongoing basis.
By being involved throughout the implementation process, Stewart eliminates the need for you to have to explain yourself again once the project starts, which creates more clarity and ensures a better result for you.

Jim is responsible for day-to-day operations. He is an experienced software developer, consultant and delivery manager. He is focused on finding pragmatic solutions to problems that arise in any business context or domain.
He has wide experience in implementing ERP and CRM systems, and is engaged with our technical team acting as client advocate and championing continual service improvement.

Shane Burfield-Mills

Shane is responsible for the entire n2 ERP & Ecommerce Technology and Development Stack. He ensures n2 continues to evolve and adapt to new requirements while maintaining a reliable platform.
Prior to starting the platform role in 2022, Shane was Head of First Software eCommerce, leading the team for 10 years,

Clinton Graaf
Lead Developer ERP
Clinton brings over 15 years of software development experience to his role as Lead Developer of the n2 ERP platform. Since joining First Software in 2020, he has played a pivotal role in evolving the architecture and core features of n2, with a strong focus on scalability, integration, and user experience.
Now part of the Operations team, Clinton is leading the continued development of the platform with a clear focus on driving performance, reliability, and innovation across the ERP stack.

The wider team
Our Support Team is our first line of support for customers who need assistance with using n2 ERP or minor enhancements, they can be contacted via phone or our ticketing system. Wherever possible we allocate a dedicated support person to your account so that they become familiar with your configuration.
Our Development Team work on new enhancements for n2 ERP as well as major customisations to meet customer requirements, the same team also builds and maintains the integrations we support.
Customers can also call on our Client Relationship Manager for assistance with Projects.
