What’s In A Name

Way back in 2000 when we first developed n2 ERP it was called FirstNet ERP, the First stood for First Software and Net was short for Internet when we launched the all new version in 2010 we were going to call it FirstNet 2 but then dropped the First and shortened net to “N” which is how we got to N2 ERP, that explains n2 but some of you may not understand the ERP reference.

ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning which basically means business process management software that allows your organisation to manage your business and automate many back office applications. Think of it as one application that can perform many tasks.

With n2 ERP this means we can manage all your procurement, inventory, sales, Point of Sale, ecommerce, CRM, accounting and Business Intelligence requirements rather than having to go to separate application vendors for each of these tasks.

Being an ERP application was one of the reasons that motivated us to integrate to Xero, we could see that larger and more sophisticated Xero users were having to use multiple applications with differing interfaces and deal with myriad integrations and we could solve that.
